Hoddam Contracting Co. Ltd, a family run-business based in Dumfriesshire, is a major building materials supplier and one of the south of Scotland’s longest-established concrete specialists.

Founded in 1958 and most recently known as Hoddam Quarry & Concrete Products, the company supplies a wide range of quarry materials and concrete products, including quality-assured ready-mixed concrete.

Our customer base encompasses an array of industries. Our nimble, client-focused ethos means we can service everyone, from large construction companies to the domestic market - and everything in between.

We operate two established sand and gravel quarries - Kilblane, on the outskirts of Dumfries, and Broom, at Powfoot, Annan. We recently expanded by opening a hard rock quarry at Hazelbank, St. Ann’s. This Quarry was finally opened in Summer of 2023 and has planning for 25+ years.

Hoddam is always looking to the future. A significant programme of investment over the last few years has included the creation of a new concrete products manufacturing plant and batching plant at Kilblane, along with a new wash plant at Broom quarry. As a company, our focus is on supplying quality products.
